What is low resistance to vaping devices?
Atomizers, cartomizers, and clearomizers have an electrical protection rating. Electrical resistance is a term that is utilized to depict the measure of resistance to current that a question has. Electrical resistance is estimated in Ohms. A standard atomizer, cartomizer, or clearomizer will for the most part measure in at around 2.3 to 2.8 Ohms, plus or minus. An atomizer, cartomizer, or clearomizer that is depicted as "low resistance" will for the most part be 1.5 to 2.0 Ohms. A low-resistance atomizer — usually rated at 1.5 ohms — is designed to restrict the flow of electrical current less than a standard-resistance atomizer, generating a higher power in watts — or better vapor production — on a standard 3.7-volt e-cigarette. Although more vapor is almost always a good thing, there are some trade-offs. This combination generates a current of about 2.46 amps, which is a bit high for e-cigarette attachments and for small batteries.

The resistance value is the most important parameter indicator in the electronic cigarette, affecting many aspects of vaping, such as mouthfeel, smoke, and mod.
Low resistance usually has two situations:
1. The player's low resistance (large smoke and low resistance atomization core);
2. Low resistance indication displayed when the device fails.
A low-resistance in the player's eyes
The low resistance in the player's eyes is a coil with a resistance of about 0.2 ohms. This category is what we often call the low-resistance, smoke data, smoke coil, and so on.
Although there is no definitive indicator to specify how low the resistance is to be low, according to the consensus of most vapers, the low resistance we now refer to is a coil with a resistance of about 0.2 ohms.
In addition to the low resistance, there is a word called ultra-low resistance, this word is that those resistance values of 0.2 ohms or less, such as 0.1 Ω, 0.0 a few Ω.
The device on the low resistance prompts (fault information)
The device indicates that the low resistance value is generally displayed as Ohms Too Low or LOW ATOMIZER. There is a clear labeling parameter on the specification of the mod package, which is the resistance range that the mod can bear, so we need to ensure that the atomizer used is within this range.
The low-resistance specification is already below the minimum tolerance range. There are usually several reasons that can cause this phenomenon:
1. Short circuit
Cause: Some devices do not have a short-circuit reminder, which is indicated by a low resistance value. This may be caused by the heating wire contacting the atomization cartridge or the base with a heating wire or metal debris. In addition, metal shavings at the 510 interface may also cause the problem.
Solution: Check the contents of the atomizer for foreign matter according to the above content. After cleaning the ferrous metal debris, check whether the fault disappears.
2. Virtual connection
Causes: The finished atomization core is not installed properly, there is no tight connection between the components, or the RBA-made atomization core has a virtual connection.
Solution: Re-install the atomization core or check whether the RBA atomization core is tightly fastened and whether the bottom 510 power supply screws are tightened. After disassembling the atomizer, reassemble the atomizer and check whether the failure disappears.
3. Coil itself problem
Cause: The resistance of the heating coil is too low. Commonly saw in the use of excessive heating wire, Choosing the wrong heating wire material (such as ni200, ss316, and other materials), the oxide layer between the heating wire is incomplete (when tight winding), heating wire and Hotmelt between the heating wire (usually in the NI80 material) and other issues.
Since the temperature control coil has a different material, the resistance value is generally lower than that of the power regulation heat-generating heating wire. If the atomizing core of the nickel 200 is used in the power mode, the resistance value will inevitably be too low.
Solution: First check if the type of spray core or heating wire is correct and match the output mode of the mod.
4. Loose Parts of the Atomizer
Causes: Some parts of the RBA nebulizer will loosen with use. For example, we obviously tighten the coil's fixing screws, but sometimes we find that the screws are loose after adjusting the coil position.
This is because pulling the coil while adjusting the coil will drive the screw, and this kind of looseness will also occur in daily use.
Solution: Disassemble the nebulizer, reassemble it, check the joint of each part, and focus on checking the coil fixing screws and the insulating material part under the electrode column.
5. Mod is damaged
Cause: The 510 interface of the e-cigarette is damaged. There is a phenomenon of virtual connection or short circuit, or the motherboard is damaged or faulty.
Solution: If you have hands-on capabilities and tools, the mod can be disassembled and the 510 part is checked for damage. If the mod is under warranty, it is still necessary to contact the purchaser for the process and method of careful maintenance.
